About Us

  Richards Bay Sport Shooting Club is an organisation whose mission is to promote all forms of sports where firearms are used, providing a venue at which our members can develop their skills and abilities in the sport up to local, provincial, national and even international level.

  The club exists to serve the interest of firearm owners of all communities in the Richards Bay, Empangeni and surrounding areas. We strive to foster a culture amongst our members of understanding in the principals of firearms, firearm handling and to be responsible at all times for their actions. 

 Located in the Richards Bay area, Richards Bay Sport Shooting Club is one of the largest shooting clubs in KwaZulu Natal, South Africa.
We at Richards Bay Sport Shooting Club are passionate about all forms of shooting disciplines and endeavour to involve as many members as possible in competition shooting. We strive to promote the safe, competent and responsible use of firearms at all times.

 

 The rules of the International Practical Shooting Confederation, as adopted by the South African Practical Shooting Association, are applied.
Our dedicated sport shooters are affiliated to the KwaZulu Natal Practical Shooting Association (KZNPSA) and the South African Practical Shooting Association (SAPSA), which in turn is affiliated to the International Practical Shooting Confederation (IPSC).

 

 Today the club has more than 270 members of various shooting disciplines and boasts 10 ranges, which includes two 100m rifle ranges, one 50m shotgun range and a tyrehouse. There is also secure parking, braai and ablution facilities.
Whether you are a competitive shooter, social shooter, hunter, plinker or if you just love the smell of gun smoke, Richards Bay Sport Shooting Club is able to fulfil your shooting needs.
All members pay an annual membership fee and any person who legally possesses a firearm may become a member of the Club.
